. whether that can be achieved is still very much up in the air. as of right now, president obama has gone back to his original demand that the bush era tax cuts be extended only for the first $250,000 in earnings. the white house is talking to senate democrats about what their proposal may look like. but as of yet, neither is in communication with congressional republicans. and as the white house hashes out details of the reid plan with senate democrats, it's at this moment unclear exactly what form it will take, what it will look like, other than to deal no doubt wheith tax cuts. details may not be released for a few days as they try to get republican support, yes, but also try to put pressure on speaker boehner by moving a vote in the senate closer to the new year. trying to say to house republicans and the speaker take up this bill that we may pass or take the blame for going over the fiscal cliff. joe. >> brianna keilar in hawaii there. there's a fight over what programs to keep funding when it comes to the fiscal cliff and it's not just between republicans and democrats. to explain t

cars, right? and we took old cars and smashed them. we -- and then barack obama also ignored, we also know that one of the common complaints was that george bush consistently put the motives of industry above the motives of the epa because he was big oil and big business, and, you know the rig rah ma role. barack obama did the exact same thing. the epa said we need to decrease smog levels because smog is killing people, and barack obama said, no, because it's not good for business. so he did exactly what he accused george bush of doing all throughout his campaign. on the issue of nuclear waste, i'm going to probably try to get through these next couple of slides here quickly because we've got some really juicy stories from the west coast that i have to get for you. barack obama is not relistically dealing with nuclear power. this has been a political football for years ever since the reagan administration. he didn't want the nuclear waste plant built out in the east, tom foley didn't want it built in the west, some texas congressman didn't want it in his state, so that's how nevada go

night, if you listened to president obama. >> i think they have to sound optimistic. the last thing they want to do is not sound optimistic. here's the problem. we've come right to the 11th hour. the fact there's going to be a substantive deal that comes out in the 11th hour is probably nailed to zero. in my sense, it's easier to go over the cliff. then there's clarity, right? taxes up, spending cut. the market will know what is going to happen. it can only get better from there, because then you'll guess legislators that come to the table, that try to cut taxes and raise some spending and they'll argue it from a positive point of view and stand up and say, rah, rah, look what we did. right? it won't get any worse if we go into the cliff. if there's a band-aid, confusion, no clarity. the market will probably react more negatively than actually going over the cliff. i think that's what investors have to be concerned about. now, that being said, i don't think the market's going to crash by any sense, because i think there's a lot of money still on the sidelines that needs invested, bu

specific. i think you get enough of those details right that people can buy into the show. barack obama is not watching the show because it's a brilliant portrayal of the c.i.a. it gets enough of the details what it feels like to be in those situations. i have no idea why i like the show -- >> i think it's less about the details. michael described it as it's not a palemic and i think audiences smell propaganda but if you can introduce the complexity of what they do.
